Pi2 has been selected by Poultry Investment, one of Romania’s largest poultry producers and the operator of the integrated chain behind the “Puiul de Crăiești” brand, as its strategic partner during a stage of accelerated development and expansion in Central and Eastern Europe.
The partnership with Pi2 aims to develop and implement a corporate communication and PR strategy for Poultry Investment, with a focus on positioning the company as a relevant player in the poultry industry, increasing visibility in business and agribusiness media, and supporting communication regarding investments, operational expansion, and the company’s contribution to the development of the local agri-food chain.
Pi2 will provide strategic consulting and support in implementing external communication projects, including media relations, corporate content, and the development of relevant editorial angles for the public and economic agenda.
In the past two years, Poultry Investment has accelerated strategic investments both in production infrastructure and in portfolio development. These include an investment in a state-of-the-art poultry hatchery in Satu Mare, Romania, and the expansion of the ready-to-cook product segment through the launch of the Bistro range under the “Puiul de Crăiești” brand. At the same time, Poultry Investment has continued investments in sustainability, operational efficiency, and the development of an integrated business model, with an emphasis on traceability, competitiveness, and operational autonomy.
In this context, communication has become a business tool, playing a role in supporting growth plans, strengthening relationships with partners, and positioning the company in relevant debates about the agri-food industry and food security.
“We are at a stage where operational development must be supported by a clear market positioning and communication aligned with our business goals. We want to make our integrated model more visible, the investments we have made, and the role we can play in a strategic agri-food sector. The partnership with Pi2 will help us structure this presence and address relevant audiences more effectively – from commercial partners to the economic and institutional environment,” said Szabolcs Hejja, Marketing and Product Development Director at Poultry Investment.
The company is consolidating its position in the local poultry industry, following investments in the vertical integration of its operations, production capacities, and the development of higher-value-added segments. The group operates in four counties in Transylvania and has a complete vertical development chain, including grain and feed production, especially Protena, one of the most modern feed factories in Central and Eastern Europe, breeding farms, incubation stations, chick-rearing facilities, two slaughterhouses, and its own store network.
Through this collaboration, Poultry Investment aims to more actively support public conversation about the potential for developing poultry farming, the role of private investments in modernizing the sector, and the advantages of an integrated production model capable of meeting current demands for quality, traceability, and efficiency. In recent communications, company representatives have consistently emphasized that Romania has the potential to become an increasingly important player in poultry farming and the entire regional agri-food chain.
